What is Con-Ass ?

What is Con-Ass ? Last night and for the better half of this morning the telecoms were down. PLDT, Globe and Smart networks were down. No internet and for us who rely on the ICT were disconnected. All bank transactions were delayed until further notice. No one knew what was happening. Was this all staged? What's all the noixe about Con-ASS. Well, in short it's an assembly where representatives of the country will look into changes that we can make into our constitution. The law of the land.

In the midst of our struggle to make our projects sustainable and profitable in a challenging economy we are made to think about CON-ASS. In my limited view of the world... alot of people are banking on using this to extend their contract with the people. Indeed power ... corrupts.

What is this all to do with me? I am just a father of 3 kids working to to sell my earthworms, promote opensource software and it's philosophy and trying to make enough to provide for three meals a day and for their education. My wife is the most practical person I know... her solution to all this is to just leave for a a better place. Like most of our friends and family ... they are else where, probably doing the same thing, but in a better ambiance.

I consider my self an idealist...my father always called me that. He listened to my thoughs and how things can be and he would smile and call me an idealist. He would smile cos he too is idealistic. In my father's world , the family was number one. WE would fight tooth and nali for the family. Spend every every ounce of blood sweat and tears just to provide for us. That is my father, the senior. I find myself in a community.... i have this dream to make our world a little better that I found it. It's difficult cos on top of that I still have my family to keep.... i think that's the reason why Ghandhi allowed his family to take care of his kids. He even stopped having that relationship with his wife. At his peak... Ghandhi was celibate.

It's obvious .. what I need to do. I need to keep the family provided for. I also need to make sure my ideals are matched to my lifesyle.....my kids are watching every move i make... the world needs living heros who will take care of both their families, community, country and be faithful to God.
